On Friday 12 January ABN AMRO and Equens signed an agreement at ABN AMRO headquarters to provide SEPA debit card processing services to ABN AMRO for a period of five years with effect from 1 January 2009. ABN AMRO chose Equens over several international competitors. With this choice ABN AMRO will ensure that all of its debit card payments can be processed in the SEPA.
