Equens is pleased to announce that it has implemented bilateral links for the exchange of SEPA payments with DIAS (Greece) and VocaLink (United Kingdom). The first successful exchange between DIAS and Equens took place last week. The exchange of transactions between VocaLink and Equens will be operational as of today.

The addition of these two links enables Equens to offer its clients bilateral links with Iberpay (Spain), ICBPI/Seceti (Italy), DIAS and VocaLink right from this moment. Implementation of the bilateral links is based on the EACHA framework. The establishment of these bilateral links is in line with the joint announcement last year during SIBOS. This announcement stressed the importance of interoperability between banks and European Clearing and Settlement Mechanisms (CSMs).

By linking the communities of CSMs we can provide our clients with a fast, efficient and reliable solution to send and receive their payments on a same-day basis. Equens is continuously striving to expand bilateral links with other payment processors in order to benefit its clients. Furthermore, Equens is constantly looking to expand its community of European banks.
