Up to 40 million transactions a day

On an average working day Equens processes over 14 million transactions, with peaks of more than 40 million a day. All these transactions are processed by our system which complies with the Core Principles for Systemically Important Payment Systems from the Bank for International Settlements. The system determines the clearing figures every half hour, after which settlement takes place at the Central Banks. This entire process takes place completely automatically using Straight Through Processing.
