The Merchant Payments Ecosystem® now creates an umbrella for three interconnected topics related to payment acceptance at POS: card acquiring, e-commerce payments acceptance and mobile payments acceptance.
MPE represents a unique networking opportunity for all pan-European merchants, banks, PSPs, telecoms, MNO‘s, card schemes, processors, solution providers and experts from merchant payments acceptance business.

Andy Makkinje joined Equens (former Interpay) in 1999 after ten years at Rabobank in the Netherlands. Since joining Equens, he has held several management positions in the field of Cards. In his current capacity as Executive Advisor, Business Development, he is responsible for Equens’ commercial activities in this area. Andy has a degree in Business Administration from Nyenrode University in the Netherlands.
