Equens short listed for the Payment processing Award

Other short listed companies in this category are TSYS, First Data, Dovetail Systems, Clear2Pay and Earthport. Financial-I, one of the leading European payments magazines, shortlistedat least three companies in each category based on research by journalists of their own team, including input from analyst firms. These companies will be presented to an advisory panel comprising industry and research analysts, consultants and thought leaders.
 
Essentially what Financial-I is looking for are companies that have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to innovation over the last 12 months. They based their selection on the following criteria:

• What innovations in business solutions have been made over the last 12 months
• What upgrades have been made to existing solutions?
• What functionality enhancements have been made?
• What is the depth and breadth of functionality?
• What customer service segments are these business solutions addressing?
• How flexible are these enhancements?
• How quickly can customers implement these solutions?

• How effective are these solutions in terms of helping customers solve everyday business issues and problems (whether it is capturing real-time information on a payment, reducing market latency, combating money laundering or measuring operational risk)?

The winners will be announced by Financial-I in the first week of December 2009.
