Equens strengthens position in Switzerland

SECB (Swiss Euro Clearing Bank GmbH) and Equens SE have extended their cooperation to the exchange of SEPA Direct Debit (SDD).
On Monday, 25 July, the first direct debits have been exchanged between the two parties; Equens and SECB have cooperated in the processing of SEPA Credit Transfers (SCT) since March 2010. The agreement for extending the partnership was signed during Sibos 2010 in Amsterdam.
The cooperation with SECB in Switzerland is a next step in the continued expansion of Equens' position throughout Europe and means that Equens is now on to process both SCT and SDD to and from Switzerland.
This interoperability for SDD is based on the Interoperability Framework of the European Automated Clearing House Association (EACHA). By having extended the cooperation to the processing of SDD transactions both parties pursue a clear strategy, focused on future-proof payment processing solutions and European coverage and growth.
