Banks & Future
Equens participates in the Banks & Future Innovation Forum, initiated by the leading Fraunhofer Gesellschaft Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO in Stuttgart. In co-operation with several international banks and IT partners, this forum investigates interests and research issues regarding the current and future needs of banks.
Among other things, the 2010 survey gives insight in the perception of banks on:
- Top 5 challenges, with increase in productivity through cost and process optimisations as an indisputable number one for the near future.
- Banks also have specific views on who will be the first movers for SEPA migration, namely large corporations and public authorities and administrations. However, they would welcome a fixed end date to switch to SEPA.
- CSMs are becoming ever more important for banks to get European reach.
- And the most important innovations that banks expect to breakthrough all begin with an ‘e’.
